Malaysia will be bidding to beat Indonesia in consecutive matches for the first time in 30 years as they look to keep their hopes of advancing to the next stage of World Cup qualification alive in Bukit Jalil on Tuesday.
The second round Group G meeting at the National Stadium will be played in front of a sold out crowd of 80,000 with much riding on its outcome.
Malaysia are fourth in the standings with six points at the halfway stage, just a point behind second-placed Thailand and three points adrift of leaders Vietnam. Those two teams meet in Hanoi while the United Arab Emirates, third on six points, are idle.
Bottom-placed Indonesia, who lost their opening match 3-2 to a late goal by Mohamadou Sumareh in Jakarta, have not beaten Malaysia away since January 2005 and have gone three games without a win against Malaysia away.
